These can be expensive to produce, but are clean and come with many distinctive benefits. Since they are far away, the noise factor that simple people complain of with land wind farms is mostly eliminated.

However, there has been some discussion about the design of this type of turbine, with some of them being fairly ugly and complained about as an aquatic eyesore. To try to counter this concern, more and more turbines are being developed with a more stylish and sleek design.The farther offshore the turbines, the greater wind available to harness; however, at the same time, the farther offshore you go, the harder it is to construct these turbines. It also costs a lot more money to install a wind turbine offshore in any instance, and it's more expensive the farther offshore the wind turbine stands.
